How does Whop work?
For buyers, Whop is a checkout: you pay by card or wallet, get instant access (a Discord role, a course, a file, a chat room) and manage or cancel the subscription from your Whop account. For sellers, it is a dashboard: create a product, set the price and billing cycle, connect what the buyer receives, complete verification, and withdraw earnings from your balance. Whop keeps 2.7% + $0.30 of each domestic sale.
The buyer's side
- Find a product — via a seller's link, an affiliate, or whop.com/discover.
- Pay — card, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and in supported countries local methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA, Cash App or crypto.
- Get access — Whop delivers what the seller attached: a Discord or Telegram invite that assigns a role, a course inside the Whop app, a download, a licence key, a booking link.
- Manage it — subscriptions, receipts and cancellation live in the buyer's Whop account, which is why a "Whop" line appears on card statements.

Name, description, cover image, category. This is the store page.
Add products and pricing
One-off, monthly, yearly, trial, payment plan. Multiple tiers are normal.
Attach what buyers get
Discord/Telegram roles, courses, files, chat, calendar, software licences — Whop calls these apps.
Verify and get paid
KYC (ID, bank, business details), then withdraw from your balance manually or on a schedule. $10 minimum.

If the buyer came through an affiliate you set up, Whop pays the affiliate their percentage and charges you 1.25% affiliate processing. If you enabled managed tax, 2% more on taxed sales.
What Whop handles that you don't
- Card processing, 3-D Secure, fraud screening and PCI scope.
- Subscription billing, retries and cancellations.
- Access control — revoking a Discord role when a subscription lapses.
- Payouts to 200+ countries, KYC and tax-form collection.
- A marketplace listing with verified-purchase reviews, if you want one.
What you still own
- The product and its delivery. Whop does not check whether your course is good.
- Customer acquisition. The marketplace is a bonus; most sales come from the seller's own audience.
- Refund policy and support — set them clearly to keep disputes ($15 each) down.

How does Whop pay sellers?
Sales settle into a Whop balance. You withdraw to a connected bank account via Whop Payments, or directly to PayPal or Coinbase Commerce, manually or on an instant, daily or weekly schedule depending on the account. Minimum $10.
How does Whop deliver Discord access?
You connect your Discord server to the whop. On purchase, Whop sends the buyer an invite and assigns the paid role; when the subscription ends, Whop removes the role automatically.
Does Whop handle refunds?
Whop provides the refund tool and the dispute process. The policy — whether and when you refund — is yours and is shown on the listing.
